Issue-state ledger
Late-game performance after 0.4.5 ↗
The developer reports substantial late-game performance improvements and several crash fixes. These changes do not establish that every save or hardware configuration is free of stutters.
Item effects and old work-in-progress labels ↗
More items received effects and many obsolete work-in-progress labels were removed. The announcement does not identify every affected item.
No suitable courting candidates ↗
Update 0.4.5 lists a fix ensuring suitable courting candidates are available. This is separate from the unresolved remarriage-after-death problem.
Carts are no longer blocked from purchase ↗
The cart-purchasing issue was fixed; the patch states that players can purchase as many carts as they like. This does not mean carts are free or that all destinations have identical inventory.
An escort should not expire after its first fight ↗
The patch fixes escorts expiring immediately after their first fight. A separate voice line announces ordinary escort expiry.
Hard to Kill no longer makes a character effectively immortal ↗
The update lists a fix for the Hard to Kill trait making characters effectively immortal. The patch does not publish a replacement lifespan or death probability.
Child poses and adult appearance ↗
The patch fixes T-posing children and characters keeping their child appearance after growing up. These visual fixes do not define the mechanical age or inheritance rules.
Why a Master takes an empty cart ↗
The hotfix restricts Masters to empty carts as a temporary mitigation. The developer explicitly defers more complete control over cart allocation to a later management update.
Nuremberg micro-freezes ↗
UI updates and AI decision calculations received performance improvements in 0.4.1, with Nuremberg specifically called out. Later 0.4.5 improvements also cover late-game performance.
Masters failing multi-ingredient recipes ↗
The hotfix lists a correction for AI Masters not crafting recipes with multiple ingredients. Missing inputs, transport delays and full storage remain separate causes to inspect.
Repeated cart destination notifications ↗
Destination-notification spam from Master-managed carts was removed. Update 0.4.5 also reduces notifications for events that do not directly affect the player.
Quarter improvements failing to execute ↗
The hotfix fixes failed quarter-improvement actions and increases AI willingness to invest in improvements against deteriorating quarter values.
Training does not increase the skill ↗
A bug that sometimes prevented training from increasing a skill was fixed. The announcement does not supply a universal amount gained by every action.
Crime fails to create evidence ↗
The hotfix addresses characters failing to create evidence when committing a crime. That correction does not make every act automatically witnessed or every accusation valid.
False crime accusations in the tutorial ↗
False accusations for crimes the player did not commit became much less likely in the tutorial. The developer explicitly says the problem can still occur.
Fight option without a cart escort ↗
The hotfix corrects the ambush interface offering a fight against robbers when the caravan has no escort. Availability of the choice should be checked against the actual escort state.
Several weak clues instead of strong evidence ↗
The patch fixes receiving five weak evidence pieces instead of one strong piece. Strength and piece count should not be treated as interchangeable measurements.
Denounce and Vigilant Driver ↗
Denounce during a robber attack now correctly applies Vigilant Driver. The notes say this allows cart use within the same turn without another attack.
Cannot remarry after a spouse dies ↗
Remarriage after a spouse dies remains an acknowledged issue in 0.4.5. Adoption was added as a workaround, and should not be described as a marriage fix.
Current and future professions
Current: Smith, Tailor, Joiner, Stonemason, Priest, Innkeeper, Alchemist and Perfumer. The archive uses Priest as the official roster name and recognizes Preacher as the secondary/source alias.
Thief, Robber and Guard remain tied to Stabby. Moneylender and Trader remain tied to 1.0. An NPC robber, a prison guard-service task or a database record does not make those careers playable.
