FIELD GUIDE CHECKED SEP 27, 2026 · PATCH 0.4.5

Personal inventory vs business stock

Keep personal equipment separate from business stock and cart cargo. Check the current transfer controls before moving sale-bound goods to a character; the older demo’s transfer restrictions are historical evidence, not an independently verified EA rule.

Current EA changes that affect this page

More items received effects and many obsolete work-in-progress labels were removed. The announcement does not identify every affected item. Right-click closes windows except over interactive areas such as recipes and portraits. Right-clicking a recipe can open its production-routing settings instead.

Decide how you intend to use the item

Keep a sale-bound product in the business and transport flow. Move an item to a character only when you intend to use it there and have checked the current game’s transfer rules. The official warning is a dated demo rule, so later build changes should be verified explicitly.

Why the distinction matters

Some products restore energy or influence opinion, while others are ingredients for another craft. A product can therefore have more than one possible destination. The production graph shows those relationships, but the decision still depends on your immediate objective.

If an item appears trapped

Read the transfer warning and compare your build with the July patch notes before treating the behaviour as a bug. If the current UI contradicts its own rule, record the item, source container, destination and save version for a report.
