Current EA changes that affect this page
The Fencing Master gained a crime-suppression action. The developer describes it as weaker than the Colonel action without publishing a numeric ratio. The update changes crime rate and unrest effects. No complete formula or per-district probability is published in the announcement. Burglary rates were rebalanced. The notes do not provide a universal safe threshold or guarantee that a security improvement prevents every burglary. The hotfix addresses characters failing to create evidence when committing a crime. That correction does not make every act automatically witnessed or every accusation valid.
Start with the city’s law
Inspect the Lawbook before choosing a risky action. The crime diary describes different severities and consequences, ranging from fines to severe punishment. It does not establish a universal crime-success chance or a fixed penalty for every city.
Evidence changes the options
Spying may produce evidence that can support a charge, blackmail or a sale. These uses create different consequences. Keep the target, source and intended use clear in an evidence record rather than treating every piece of information as interchangeable.
Respect the update boundary
An old screenshot showing burglary or patrol mechanics does not prove that a criminal or guard career is playable on launch day. Use the Stabby milestone for those professions and verify the current action UI before applying older procedural advice.
