Crime fails to create evidence

Current status

The hotfix addresses characters failing to create evidence when committing a crime. That correction does not make every act automatically witnessed or every accusation valid.

What to check in your save

Separate the law, the alleged act and evidence actually present. Keep the evidence record and the patch version when reporting a missing-evidence case.

Version boundaries

The patch lists the issue as fixed. A similar symptom on a newer build needs a fresh reproduction instead of a claim that the old defect is still universally active.

Record the installed build, selected character or building, city and action. Preserve a save before trying a destructive workaround. Prepare a useful bug report ↗
