Current EA changes that affect this page
Production now halts and raises a notification when storage is full. A stopped job can therefore be the intended response to an unavailable output destination. Right-click closes windows except over interactive areas such as recipes and portraits. Right-clicking a recipe can open its production-routing settings instead.
Check what will repeat
Choose the intended task and inspect whether the interface offers repetition for it. The announcement says certain tasks can repeat; it does not establish that every action in the game can be automated. Record the product and worker so the queue remains understandable after a later session.
Keep the task supplied
A repeated craft still depends on materials arriving and output having somewhere to go. Use the production-chain view to identify intermediate dependencies, then inspect the workshop’s actual inventory. No repeat setting can justify a guessed input quantity.
Stopping and changing plans
The same patch warns about losing progress when unassigning workers during ongoing tasks. Review what is in progress before making a large reassignment. Family-member masters are a different, later automation feature and may use carts and funds beyond this single task.
