Market prices and reliable comparisons

A product’s margin depends on the prices and costs in your own save. Official economy descriptions discuss changing supply and demand, but no current price table is verified here.

Current EA changes that affect this page

Price tooltips now expose more contributing factors, including base price, buying markup, Negotiation and storefront discounts. The current city comparison also shows best and worst prices. The price display includes a historical minimum and maximum alongside current city prices. A past low price is a comparison point, not a promise that the offer is available now. The update changes crime rate and unrest effects. No complete formula or per-district probability is published in the announcement. EA added marketplace sorting, search and an option to show or hide out-of-stock items. A hidden result can therefore reflect the active filter rather than a removed item.

A quote is a snapshot

Record whether you are buying or selling, the city and the moment of the quote. A sale price from one market is not automatically a purchase price at another. This distinction matters before any calculator multiplies a value by your planned quantity.

Include the costs you know

A gross spread leaves out wages, repairs, taxes and other expenses. Add only costs you can identify and allocate clearly. If a fee is unknown, the result is incomplete; entering zero means you chose to exclude it, not that the game charges nothing.

Avoid a fixed best-product list

The July economy diary discusses market saturation and planned deeper systems, while the September roadmap changes the economy further. Without current recipes, costs and market observations, a ranked profit list would be guesswork. Compare observed scenarios instead.
