Old demo saves and the EA-era demo

Current status

The EA launch announcement warns that old demo saves are incompatible with the updated demo. The older demo remains on the demo_0.3.0 branch for existing playthroughs.

What to check in your save

Keep a backup and choose the branch that matches the save. Start a fresh save for the updated demo rather than repeatedly loading an incompatible older one.

Version boundaries

The change is documented at the stated patch. Unpublished prices, exact effect sizes and future expansion details remain outside this claim.

Record the installed build, selected character or building, city and action. Preserve a save before trying a destructive workaround. Prepare a useful bug report ↗
