Why there are four autosaves

Current status

The game now keeps four autosaves per playthrough instead of ten. Manual saves are not deleted by this retention change.

What to check in your save

Create a named manual save before a risky experiment. Fewer rolling autosaves is expected behavior in 0.4.5, not by itself evidence of save corruption.

Version boundaries

The change is documented at the stated patch. Unpublished prices, exact effect sizes and future expansion details remain outside this claim.

Record the installed build, selected character or building, city and action. Preserve a save before trying a destructive workaround. Prepare a useful bug report ↗
