Inspect the right state
Record each current member’s displayed renown and identify the actual head. Use one snapshot of the family rather than mixing values from before and after a succession. Do not add a person who is no longer part of the displayed dynasty.
Make the decision
Sum the members once, then add the current head’s value again. If comparing two heads, keep all other member values unchanged for that comparison. This explains aggregation only; it does not predict renown earned through the succession or any future action.
Verify the result
Check the displayed total after the game has updated. If it differs, review membership and timing before assuming a bug. Keep the individual values with a report so the calculation can be reproduced. If membership changed during the comparison, take a new complete snapshot before recalculating.
