Review an escort after a cart fight

Inspect the right state

Before dispatch, inspect whether an escort is assigned and review the cargo. After an encounter, read the remaining escort status and any expiry notification. A previous hire or a visible fight option is not proof that the current cart is still defended.

Make the decision

If the escort disappears immediately after its first fight on the checked build, preserve the before-and-after state for a new report. If it expires normally, treat that as an operating condition and decide whether the next journey needs a fresh assignment.

Verify the result

Keep Denounce and Vigilant Driver separate from ordinary escort duration. The current notes describe same-turn attack protection after Denounce, not permanent protection, an escort replacement or a zero-risk route.
