Inspect weapon and armor tooltips on the intended participant, then review energy and the city’s duel law. Effects may trade accuracy, damage and protection against one another. An encounter-based duration is different from calendar time.

Make the decision

Read the current challenge choices before accepting. The secondary event describes accepting or refusing, but does not establish a universal survival chance or a fixed public-opinion penalty. Do not import a claimed best weapon ranking without the current circumstances.

Verify the result

If you proceed, review equipment and condition after the encounter before using the character again. Keep an observed result separate from a formula; one victory or defeat cannot verify the hidden probability of the next duel.
