The EA launch notes say players can no longer vote for themselves when applying for the highest position in a chamber. Do not count that self-vote in an election plan.
Build a candidate record
Record the candidate, current office, target office and what the application panel requires. An unmet eligibility condition is a different problem from insufficient support. Fixing the wrong one wastes both time and money.
Track influence as evidence
List whom you intend to approach and what action is available. The diaries describe improving opinion and using rhetoric, while bribery and blackmail can bring legal consequences. Read the current law state before selecting a less lawful action.
Review the outcome
Keep a note of the result and the conditions under which it happened. One successful election is not a universal strategy, and one failed bribe does not establish a percentage. The election notebook records a plan without presenting a fabricated chance of victory.
