FIELD GUIDE CHECKED SEP 27, 2026 · PATCH 0.4.5

Before you play

Europa 1410 focuses on managing a business, dynasty and political career from a strategic perspective. Use the demo to test that style before choosing it for the character control of a later Guild game.

Current EA changes that affect this page

EA character creation offers name and surname choices, backstories, crests and portraits. Backstories can affect character and heir statistics.

Understand the perspective

The August rename explains the reference point: Europa 1400, the first Guild game. You manage through the world view and its systems instead of directly walking a character around as in the later games. Interactive building scenes are being expanded, but that does not change the stated strategic focus.

Choose one thing to learn first

Begin in Herle and follow its introductory tasks. Learn how a workshop receives materials, assigns workers and moves products to a sale destination. Then examine one political requirement and one family decision. Trying every system at once makes it harder to identify why a particular action is unavailable.

Keep promises and current rules apart

Use the September roster for professions and cities. Read the badge on an older guide before applying its instructions. A useful launch-day note records your build, the action you tried and the message the game displayed; that is better evidence than a remembered price from June.
